With fall comes one thing that many Midwestern’s love: hunting season. For this month’s September #ShowMeMoberly blog we are showcasing the hunting assets here in Randolph County.
Whether you are an avid or beginner bow hunter there are two facilities here in Randolph County to practice at.
The first location is East Fork Archery in Hunstville. The indoor facility can accommodate 22 shooters at a time. It is an exclusive shooting club, but if you are not a member don’t worry because there is only a $5 shooting fee. If you enjoy hunting birds Heggemeier Game Farm and Kennels is the great location to do that. This private hunting area with over 1200 acres of land has a maintained habitat which was created for a variety of bird species like, pheasant, chukar, quail, Hungarian, partridge and mallard ducks. Birds and ducks aren’t the only animals that can be hunted on their land, other options include deer, wild turkey, squirrel, woodcock, snow geese, Canadian geese and dove. With more than 5,500 acres of private hunting property Gunn Creek Outfitters is one last place in Randolph County that provides your hunting needs. This location in Huntsville, Missouri has guided Missouri whitetail deer, eastern turkey, wild and planted pheasant, quail and chucker hunts for over 18 years in North Central Missouri.
