You might not know that there are some fantastic events going on in July in
Randolph County. Here are some activities to do right in your neck of the woods!
The first big event in July is always Independence Day. Moberly Parks and Recreation will be having several 4th of July Extravaganza activities for all ages. Start off your day by heading to Rothwell Park to ride the Moberly Mini Train for only $2.00. Once you are done having your 12 miles of adventure cool off at the Moberly Aquatic Center. Their specials include half price admission and you don't want to wait because these prices are only good from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
At Howard Hills Athletic Complex four musical acts will be playing throughout the day. Trainwreck from 3:00 -3:45 p.m. Loaded Chamber from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. Big House is from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. and Derryl Perry will close the night from 8:00 - 9:30 p.m.
The biggest music synchronized fireworks display in Mid-Missouri will then begin at around 9:40 p.m. at Howard Hills.
We know that this might be the only event where you won't mind being outdoors,
but if you are wanting to cool off the newly renovated 4th Street Theatre is the
perfect place to be.
On July 9th, they are having their Monthly Blues Jam from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. This gives area musicians that love playing blues the opportunity to come together with a host band and create some unique music.
A $5 donation is recommended at the door and concessions will be available.
Don't forget to attend Classic Movie Night on July 19th. The movie they will be showing is Top Gun. It starts at 7:00 p.m., tickets are $10 and popcorn is free.
Support our local youth at the Randolph County Fair from July 16th - 21st. 4-H and FFA members work year round on their animals, hams and exhibits.
