The Randolph County Raceway’s hosted a ribbon cutting on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 3:30pm.
The ribbon cutting coincided with the first race of the season and attendees had the opportunity to meet new promoters, Jim and Tammy Lieurance. The 2021 racing season will run every Friday from April 2nd to October 29th, with some special events on various Saturday’s. Hot laps will begin at 6:45pm and racing to follow.
The Lieurance’s and their immediate family are from Hannibal and they have over 40+ years of experience in dirt track racing, which they will bring to RCR for the next two years.
Michelle Greenwell, Tourism Specialist with the Moberly Area Chamber of Commerce said, “We are very excited to have the Randolph County Raceway continue operation in 2021. Last year, RCR was one of the largest tourism attractions in the county bringing in visitors from Iowa, Illinois and all over Missouri. We are very excited to have the Lieruance’s not only as chamber members, but as partners in the community.”
The cost of admission is $15 for adults, $12 for military or seniors, $5 for ages 7-13 and 6 and under are free.
