About Moberly

Founded in 1866, Moberly is the largest city in Randolph County and has a legacy of railroading lasting to this day. Moberly is the product of an 1866 railroad auction. The Chariton and Randolph Railroad connected with the North Missouri Railroad Company here. With the coming of the Wabash Railroad Shops in 1873, Moberly seemed to spring from the prairie overnight.

Today, Moberly is a vibrant community with great opportunities. We have an impressive industrial, professional, retail and agricultural economy. We have a lively neighborhood, churches and schools. There is a lot to here like fishing at Rothwell Park, watching a production at the 4th Street Theatre or visiting a winery. Click here to learn more about Randolph County.
