Moberly has the majority of shopping options for the county. Its retail shopping hub begins downtown on West Reed Street. The original shopping district for Moberly, it is filled with retail shops, banks, pharmacies, restaurants, and antique stores. Hungry? Downtown is home to five local restaurants, a luncheonette counter, and a specialty bakery shop. Need a key made, a computer repaired, fabric for a sewing project, or a prescription filled? How about flowers, greeting cards or gifts for you or a friend? You can also find a new outfit for you or the kids, formal wear, sporting goods or a letter jacket for your favorite high school student. Your downtown Moberly retailers are here for you.

The Main Street Moberly Association works together with downtown merchants on special sales and entertainment promotions, such as August’s sidewalk sale and holiday parades. Especially enjoyed is the holiday tradition, Living Windows, where the downtown streets come alive with the spirit of the Christmas season, as the windows and streets are filled with live holiday scenes and entertainment. Large crowds enjoy strolling the streets, hearing carols, and sipping hot chocolate.

Another busy shopping area is fondly known as “The Magic Mile”, or Morley Street, Moberly’s main North/South thoroughfare. Morley is home to professional offices, retail shops, salons, banks, automobile dealerships, grocers, doctor’s offices, and pharmacies. Several restaurants call Morley home, ranging from local fare to national chain establishments.
Morley Street truly offers something for everyone!

The fastest growing shopping region in Moberly is the junction of Highway 24 from Business 63 (Morley) to Highway 63 and beyond. Several national retail chains, as well as locally owned independent shops, call this area home. You’ll find a farm and home store, hardware store, and two building and remodelling supply stores, ready to help with any home repair needs. A greenhouse and farmers market, pharmacy and convenience shop, grocery, and a major discount chain store can supply you with all your household needs. This area also boasts a sporting goods store, national brand clothing stores, a variety of enticing restaurants, and our city’s three hotels.

Highway 24’s retail opportunities extend West beyond the Highway 63 junction. Two large furniture stores, car dealers, a bank, antique, and specialty shops call this bustling road home.
