      The Rothwell Park Railroad announces that the reenactment of the Allen, MO Train event will be held on October 5 from 1 until 4:30 p.m. This special Sunday miniature train event recreates a Civil War incident at Allen, MO, a predecessor to Moberly, MO. A chocolate-foil covered coin will be given to each child rider on Sunday. Cost of each ride is $2.50.

Hailed for their outstanding musicianship, the Arianna String Quartet has firmly established itself as one of America’s finest chamber ensembles. The Chicago Tribune praised their performance for “tonal warmth, fastidious balance…expressive vitality” and the Pretoria News in South Africa noted their “emotional commitment and fluent virtuosity.” Formed in 1992, the ASQ garnered national attention by winning prestigious competitions worldwide. Last season included returns to Brazil and South Africa, performances throughout the United States, and a residency at the Peabody Institute of Music, among many others. The ASQ are full-time faculty at the University of Missouri – St. Louis and is also Ensemble-in-Residence at the Touhill Performing Arts Center in St. Louis, where they present their own series of concerts.
